Damper Rebuilds

Damper Rebuilds – What’s Involved?

Wondering what goes into a professional damper rebuild? Here's a detailed breakdown of what happens when your dampers arrive at our workshop.

Whether you're racing, rallying, or off-roading - dampers take a beating. Over time, damper oil degrades, and critical components like seals, O-rings, and valve shims wear out, leading to noticeable drops in performance.

Our rebuild process restores your dampers to "as-new" condition, ensuring they deliver consistent, high-performance damping straight out of the box.

Pre-Rebuild Process

  • Build Sheet Created – We document:
    • Compression/rebound settings
    • Ride heights
    • Spring specs
    • Damper Valving
    • Initial Dyno Test (if required) – To assess pre-rebuild performance
    • Springs Removed & Components Cleaned

Full Disassembly & Inspection

All dampers are completely disassembled, cleaned in our high-pressure wash system, and thoroughly inspected. Key components checked include:

  • Compression and rebound adjusters
  • Shim stacks (shim packs/valves)
  • Seal block
  • Piston rod assembly
